Dr. Elizabeth Fisher
Artistic Director
An active conductor, music educator, and choral scholar, Dr. Elizabeth Fisher serves as the Artistic Director of Young Voices of Colorado, working with youth from the Denver metro area. In addition to this, she is also the Artistic Director of Sage Singers, a chorus for LGBTQ+ elders. Previously, she has held positions in choral conducting and music education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Jude Markel has been accompanying his whole life, whether it be churches, school choirs, musicals, or bands. He’s played just about everything from Bach to Broadway! In 2025, he graduated from CU Boulder with his Masters of Music in Collaborative Piano. He’s coached and accompanied dozens of students from undergrad to doctoral, and organized many recitals of his own. Without exaggeration, between 2023 and 2025, Jude learned over three hundred pieces of music!
Miriam Swihart
General Manager
Miriam is a native to Colorado but has moved around the country and lived in Germany as well. She came home to stay in 2000. She had a long career managing people and processes. She retired at 65 and was happy to stay home, build things, and play with the dogs.
In 2023 she joined the support team for Sage Singers and became the GM in January of this year. She fell in love with Sage Singers and can’t imagine not being a part of the magic. Miriam is married to her amazing wife Jo Ann Zvares. They have been together for 21 years. Their children have always been four legged, adorable, and not always well-behaved.
